REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT TRUSTS/REITS/MORTGAGE LENDERS

Several months ago I had the pleasure of putting on a Commercial Seminar (for attorneys and brokers working with commercial properties) in Portland with Jack Murray ("The Law Whisperer").

One of the handouts was a new article by Jack, titled "Real Estate Investment Trusts and the Evolution of the Capital Markets." This is a ten page outline of the history of REITs, their evolution and growth in the 1990's, and issues for the title underwriter in REIT transactions.
